I try to keep it up to date but sometimes I simply forget to do it.

This may be a little disheartening really. In essence there are only
Jochen, Tony and I. Bill puts in an appearance sometimes but not always.
I do usually put a list of traders attending on my show flyer page but I
have not done this on this occasion because. I was not sure about
Jochen, Marcel and Berndt. As it is neither Marcel nor Berndt can get
here so Jochen cannot come either as travelling that far will be too
expensive for him alone. Having said that - anyone who wants any of
Jochen's stuff or specific updates let me know as soon as possible.

The next QL Today should be available at the show. You can re-subscribe
there too as that will be due soon.

>@ A list of punters who intend to be there
How would they work this out?
>@ Show details (presentations, debates, etc)
Again these are often hazy and subject to change. At the Hove show you
should be able to see:

A debate on emulation vs native hardware with myself in satin boxers
representing the emulators and Tony Firshman with a bone through his
nose leading the charge of the natives.

Geoff Wicks' talk - he has not really told me what that will be (if he
has changed it from before)

Quanta's website demo (I don't recall and can find no email telling me
this would happen)

A possible talk by Chris Cave about C programming. (I was 'having a
moment' before when I said he could not make it. It was Dave Walker whom
I asked to do the talk and said he could not come. Chris however seems
interested in doing - serendipity I love you! - but has not confirmed/

>@ Mailto links to the persons arranging the dinner, presentations,
>volunteers, etc
If they are going to do this then it should be a short piece of code
with the email address on it and definitely not the mailto link that
most Website maker software wants to insert. These just attract spam
because the robots are programmed to pick them up.

Don't forget dinner at Bom-Banes on Saturday night - booking out fast !

>@ A list of hotels
Already published on this list but largely unnecessary because Google
will find many more. In the old days, when there were lots of us we
could get discounts so a hotel list was valid. No chance here for less
than 25 people
>@ Directions
Usually covered in the mass mailout due soon - but a link to Google maps
would help.

In this case

http://maps.google.com/maphp?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8

>@ Any other relevant, accurate and up-to-date information (football
>matches, major road works, etc)
Would not know about football matches - never seen the point in it
myself. Road works change daily

Done in the mass mailout

No a bad idea.

I think most people who have problems could be helped at a show by one
or other of the attendee but having a specific query directed to the
organiser before the show might be nice. You could do this with a page
on the Quanta website where people could email their problem / query /
wishlist and have it posted on an 'electronic pin board'. This could
then be emailed to the organiser a week before the show.

True. I would like a large sack of fifty pound notes and a couple of
shapely ladies of dubious morals - but then given my age and marital
status I would settle for a cup of tea and an egg mayonnaise sandwich.
