However, I create PDF files simply by using Open Office or my Docbook system. Neither of which use any form of Adobe supplied software. Docbook converts XML source code for a document into XSL Formatting Objects which is a horrendous language - that no-one ever writes directly - and form that, FOP (FO Processor) converts it to PDF.
