On the Macbook VMware this is at the bottom right, but I suspect they are the 
same buttons.  I do not have a floppy option as there is no physical device, 
but yes, there are similar connect/disconnect buttons for all other physical 
devices.
One thing I did find with qemulator is that the USB floppy is B: (under 
Vmware), as A: is reserved by OS X despite there being no physical device!
A great bug that was in Vmware 2 when freshly installed (but not in Vmware 4) 
was that it defaulted to using the Macbook video camera (which is a usb 
device). That one beat both the 'genius' and Vmware support.  I fortunately 
realised *before* following the Vmware advice to re-install Windows XP (8-)#
