The EPSON EPL-6200 mono laser printer should be fine with a QL and is
available from some stockists!

When THAT happens, it is necessary to spend 5-to-10 minutes (maybe, it

the printer to CLEAR its print jets (whatever the process is called to

BTW. I would send you my Epson printer (it has not been used for over 2
years ... I presume it works, but ...), but I know it would cost a
sizeable amount for postage& I only presume it will eventually revive
itself after having been dormant for so long.
BTW2. I would think (meaning, it is something that I had often
contemplated) that if one were clever with TRAnslated codes that the
principle (i.e., non-graphical) functions could be implemented to
generate basic type fonts for almost any printer with almost any driver.
Maybe, maybe not.
Perhaps, the graphical driver could be tweaked with TRA codes, too.
