Hi Geoff,

All the Quanta "Shows" are were all called Workshops.

Most Quanta Workshops that I attended in the past had sub themes and interested talks going on.

When I used to organise QL/Quanta Workshops, I always had programme of events issued in advance and handed to each attendee. I also tried, make a positive view on the event.

Do you have a proposed programme of events.

Regards,

Derek

Hi,

we had a little conversation about Geoff's recent post on the German
QL forum. In conclusion, we are glad if *everybody* who is
interested in the QL, is very welcome at the meeting in Edinburgh.
Our hope is that nobbody feels discouraged, in case of limited QL
skills. The more QLers come, the better.

For one personal example, Paul had no QL skills whatsoever, when we
first got in touch. Now he made QL-SD possible.

All the best
Peter

Sorry if I caused some confusion here. Of course everyone is welcome. I
was mainly concerned about UK QL-ers who have only known Quanta shows
and have rigid ideas about how QL shows should be run. (And that
includes Quanta's committee.) Edinburgh is not a show but a workshop. I
would hate someone to spend a lot of time and money coming to Edinburgh
and then finding the event was not what they were expecting.

Frankly the last Quanta show I attended was ghastly. A lot of people
sitting at their own table doing their own thing with scarcely any
mixing. If that happened at Edinburgh it would destroy the event,

Best wishes,

Geoff
