Wasn't main screen in TV mode dark blue ?

How about having MODE 4 (WMON) screen roped with symbolic microdrive tape,
like some sort of gift package ?
Or maybe a legendary Rainbow in the lower right corner- like that on Spectrum ?
It has to be dead simple to be effective. I have nothing against simple MODE 4
squares.
They look good, they are simple and resulting gif is very short and should
display equally
well on all systems, from simple 640x480 x 16 colours to 2k x 2k x 32
bits/pix...
Most of all, it would look perfect even on 1982's QL ! :-)
Everything else looks worse. Any text would require from user to read it and so
would ruin purpose of the logo as
a momentarily identifiable image. Even simple "QL" with Q in #2 and L in #1
doesn't look good.
Besides that, this would cripple scaling capabilites. At larger resolutions,
everything would have to be at least antialiased and at lower res. it would get
garbled.
Worries about legal issues are exagerrated. Whatever used as a logo, it will be
similar to some other logo.
I wote for trecolori MODE4 screen.
