The usual suspects are:

1. Graphics card doesn't have enough memory for hi-colour modes

2. Insufficient memory allocated to QPC2v2 to work in hi-colour mode

3. Graphics card does not support certain sizes/colours/modes...my
wife's laptop will not allow a 512x256 mode of all things! It seems to
show about 3/4 of the display only!
