The Q40 SMSQ/E does not say that anthing other than WIN1_ can be used with
the WIN_FORMAT command.

But if you enter WIN_FORMAT 1 and try FORMAT WIN2_, you get a Access Denied
error message.

So the correct syntx for WIN_FORMAT is WINFORMAT win_drive

This assumes that the WNx_ device has been previousily defined in the
WIN_DRIVE command. And as Roy says, to link in a new Syquest drive
cartridge, a new win_drive command as to be entered, ie for WIN3_ :
WIN_DRIVE 3,2
on the secondary master for the whole partition on the disk or WIN_DRIVE
3,2,0 for completeness.

I can not get QXLTOOL to generate a QXL.WIN file correctly, the QXL.WIN is
created but leaves the channel open and the QXLTOOL program still running.
But I wonder if that is correct and the QXL.WIN file can be accessed by
channel ID. It all work OK on DOS and Linux.

I was going to backup my BBS system to a CDRW disk in a QXL.WIN over a
serial link to a Linux box which would write the CDRW disk. Pity that it
could not be done on the Q40/60
