cdrecord won't be so hard with Thierry's driver, mkisofs would be
a bigger problem but isn't really needed.

I thought you could to avoid the few hours it takes to tranfer
the stuff over the serial line. Make sure to checksum the data,
a simple serial connection has enough errors to make garbage
of eg compressed files.
