Indeed as the saying goes "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts", which in its
modern form can be paraphrased as "Beware of Welshmen bearing QL Today".

As an Outlook and Hotmail user I have remained surprisingly free from from
viruses. Maybe Microsoft now have better firewalls. To add to Dilwyn's
warning, always be suspicious of attachments unless you know what they are
even if they come from someone you know. There are viruses that attach
themselves to emails without the sender realising it. Remember we QL users
can always save attachments and look at them on the QL. Also it is the
etiquette of this group not to send attachments, although there are
exceptions such as Ian Pine.

Like others on the list I find the spam traffic has increased over the last
month. With Outlook you are supposedly able to block them, but it is not as
simple as it sounds. Many come in via msn.com and it is easy for the sender
to use a new account each time. Also blocking is only possible for POP
mails.
