I wouldn't consider it a dream. I have done something simple enough like PE but completely graphical (and IMVVVHO a lot more beautiful) -It actually looks like the BeOs GUI) and my windows in S*BASIC (even interpreted) opened up almost as fast as PE ones. I could continue working on that but I stumbled upon the scheduler part :-) In order to work with something like that you need a level of access to the OS that I 1. Don't master, 2. Don't have from working from the "outside" As for the fonts you are right, however it could be "corrected" by using the bitmap screen font / scalable output font approach... and don't forget the "ArmQL" coming out soon :-) (Especially the XScale version using as core emulation engine uQLx could easily outperform both QPC2 and Q60) (Or at least that's what preliminary test have shown Dave IIRC :-) Phoebus
