Try Folder options in control panel, it allows configuration of
these things

I haven't tried it myself, but you can use DOS or Windows to set
the file
attributes to hidden. You can still open the file etc, but you
have to know
it is there. The problem is, if someone has Explorer configured
to show
hidden files, then it's all in vain.
