Hi!

After hearing about Openstreetmap I went to the site, selected some
area, exported to *.osm, converted to *.img with mkgmap and then
discovered that qlandekartegt wants only *.tdb files :-/

I also built qlandekarte and saw it imports *.img files, so no end to my
confusion :-(

I still do not own Garmin device, but wanted to see how the linux
software works.

In order to be assured that the maps are correct (one never knows with
that Java software), I dl-ed some other free maps, but all are in *.img
format.

Can anyone explain is it possible to convert from *.img to *.tdb or how
one converts from *.osm to *.tdb, otherwise QLandkarte will be hungry
here?

Sincerely,
Gour
