Thanks for your response.
When QLGT is installed via softwarecenter the Garmin drivers are installed
also.
Nevertheless I flushed the complete driver installation and 're-installed
it again whit the same result. Also removing the config file (suggested in
some old thread) did not resolve the problem.
I also tried root privilege (which is needed without the udev rule). But I
have the same problem.
Later today I will try the ppa which was suggested in the link you send me.
Previously I was using an very old ppa, but this was not updated since ages.
Thanks for the help. When I have tried the other ppa I will post the
results.
