Fine. But please understand, that people who use the net and mailinglists for more than ten years don't need to think about "what this is basically all about" and "how communication works". They know it already. And the essence after all the years is: If someone on a mailinglist for mail software cannot write proper e-mails, he should start learning that first, even if it will take some years (and being shout at by everyone). Hell, I'm on a list for Sony Vaio users for some years now, even they write better e-mails than this list full of postmasters. Get used to it, learn to quote, reference, don't use silly quote marks, format text properly, don't use a known broken MTA or MUA. It's like the difference between speaking properly and spilling at your conversational partner. Something to think: I know a lot about LDAP and qmail, having used them both for years. But I rarely read all the mails on this list, because it's a pain to follow a thread or understand the quoting, etc. I will not spend my rare time with this basics, therefor I'm not able to help anyone. I know everyone who writes proper mails and I read their postings. Thats all I can do for now. </rant> -- Christian Bauer
