BTW - I don't have anything against OL-users (as this thread is titled),
but I have something against people that use broken MUAs or/and don't
set up their clients correctly. OL is a MUA that does many things very
wrong per default, but you can fix most of them and work around the
others.

Henning is really not that bad - if you ask kindly he will usually be
one of the people who answers. But if you ask things that were discussed
two days before or commonly known things you should expect an
"RTFM"-answer. You simply asked for it.

There is a "standard" based on the behaviour and experience of billions
of users for X years. An this is the way quoting goes - if you don't
want to do it that way you will be ignored or flamed. If this was a
newsgroup you would have been *plonked* already. BTW - what is so AOLish
at this quoting-style?

No - the Subject is to give a short overview of what the mail is all
about. It is not for threading mails - there are other header-lines for
that. The body of the mail is the important part - and in your style a
mail reads like the following:

        Subject: Qmail-problem
        Body:
Yes, thats the way it works usually.
No, you might have to set <variable>
        I wouldn't do so.

In common style it looks like
        Subject: Qmail-problem
        Body:
        * someone wrote
        > Do I have to set this to get that working?
Yes, thats the way it works usually.
        > Or can I get it working by using something else?
No, you surely have to set <variable>
        > What about doing something wierd?
        I wouldn't do so.

Decide for yourself what is easier to read and understand - and don't
wonder if you get ignored.

This list also is for discussing qmail-ldap development issues, schema
discussions, ...

> have listed things on this list and what have I gotten "NOTHING". Or

Did you ever think that people just didn't have a clue? Did you write
all infos we might have needed? This is no commercial support-line. This
is a free discussion group.

> better yet, "Don post a second time, because we can read" What the hell

And again - this is NO commercial support-line nor a support-line at
all. Yes - we discuss qmail-related things (and problems here) and we
try to find solutions. But if you didn't get an answer on the first
question you wouldn't get one by asking again and again.

> This is something you need to think about? I know I have.

Perhaps you should think it over again.
