Check permissions on
    /var/qmail/queue/lock/trigger
they should look like
prw--w--w-   1 qmails  qmail     0 Sep  5 23:47 trigger|

Doing a "make check" in the qmail source directory should fix the
permissions.

trigger is used for communication between qmail-queue and qmail-send.
If the permissions are wrong you will notice a "bulky" behaviour.
qmail-send will then check the queue only each 20 minutes.
