Is it that Dovecot doesn't support vpopmail at all or just the way that
QmailToaster implements it? From this FAQ entry, it seems Dovecot does
support vpopmail:

Weird. I looked into it a while back,but couldn't find directions. I
found a bunch of threads about people bitching that vpopmail + dovecot
didn't work correctly, but couldnt find any patches or docs to do it.
Perhaps it can be done.
I'm currently hosting with Rackspace, and we'd be paying about $500/mo
for an additional machine that would be adequate. The "second server" I
have is old and isn't up for the job, but would be perfect for a
temporary migration job.
With the fine free scripts available from Jake, you should be able to
migrate without issue from the "second" (inadequate) server to the new
server.
