My feeling for what its worth is: Qmail Toaster is about the community, the list is one of the great things about it, enabling quick answers to problems that people are having and some sharing of knowledge. I worry that there might be some loss of this if the list splits as most people will only watch one list or other.
However assuming there are enough people willing to support a Spanish list this might not be a huge problem. We can help with the transfer of knowledge by using the new wiki, and trying to get things written up there in both English and Spanish, possibly with a post to both lists to say that there is new documentation. I guess the first thing is to work out is if there are enough people to support a Spanish list, probuably a call for one of the Spanish speakers - it might be worth someone putting their name / email address forward for people to email if they would be interested in a Spanish only list (rather than fill the main mailing list). The other option is just to press on try it and see how it works for a couple of months.
