tend to customize some packages, and not always install everything in
servers that I use as gateways.

Unless a qtp upgrade clobbers it. On further investigation, it
appears that an qtp upgrade would indeed clobber any changes there.

I am not sure if you solved your problem and I did not find any
answer in the list (sometimes I don't find things that are right in

I found that the first line:
|/var/qmail/bin/preline /usr/bin/maildrop -A 'Content-Filter:
maildrop-toaster' /etc/mail/mailfilter
is a line added by qmailadmin every time I checked the Spam
detection when adding or modifying a user in my previous
installation.
The second line is added every time I use qmailadmin after the
upgrade. Then I noticed that the Spam detection option was gone in
my new qmailadmin.
I rebuilded the qmailadmin rpm with flag --define spambox 1 and
problem fixed.
