There is only one place where script
/usr/share/spamassassin/sa-update.cron
is started - /etc/cron.d/sa-update
In this file line executing script is commented out. This line executes
update script ones a day at 4:10 am, not every hour.
IMHO old script /etc/cron.daily/qtp-sa-update should be removed, if
exists.
I misspoke. Indeed it's once per day.
When I copied this part of the spec from repoforge, I didn't notice that
it was commented out. It's now fixed.
I've also changed the output such that everything is logged, but only
stderr goes to cron output (email).
qtp-sa-update will now be removed (I had reservations about doing this,
but have thought about it some more and decided to go ahead with this).
NOTE TO THOSE WHO HAVE RUN qtp-sa-update FOR THE openprotect.com CHANNEL
You MUST now update the /usr/share/spamassassin/sa-update.cron script to
include the openprotect.com channel in order to continue getting updates
from there.
spamassassin-toaster-3.3.2-1.4.2 has included these changes/fixes, and
should be available at all the mirrors within an hour from now.
Thanks for the attention to details, Aleksander. Your participation is
highly appreciated.
