Nor this....

I also tried creating a listener on "changeSelection" for the table (to do a
"clearSelection()") but it doesn't get fired.

Afraid I don't have much more time to fool with this, especially to
implement new custom classes (thanks anyway, Derrell). Might just have to
live with the behaviour as is.
