That works! I've ditched all the other stuff. I had also tried:
table.setSelectable(false); // why doesn't this work????
Which seemed like it was a logical candidate to do what setting NO_SELECTION
actually accomplished.
It might be good to have *selection* highlight settings as well as *row
focus* highlight settings. I don't really care if rows in my table are
selectable or not, just so that the highlighting doesn't show up.
