Thomas, I have looked quite a while at the qooxdoo website and what it does, and what I see is on target. Simply put, I am wrong. I get frustrated because so much stuff flies past that I don't have time to look at, much less understand. I did come across something very applicable to my concerns in this link (http://news.qooxdoo.org/category/discussion) that I had never seen before, and I quote.
"qooxdoo comes with a programming model. Roughly put, it targets RIA developers that are heavily OO-slanted, wanting to produce rich-client, single-page, performant, desktop-like GUI applications in an industrial style. ... Particularly, we have only so many resources on the project, and need to focus efforts in order to achieve good results."
