Hey guys, there is a browser-based game out there called Lord of Ultima (
http://www.lordofultima.com/en ) which, per the devs...

"The game client is written directly in JavaScript, using Qooxdoo as base
user interface library. The server software is written in C#.Our game
servers are running Windows Server/IIS."

So I realize games are probably not the main application for Qooxdoo, but
I'm really interested in writing something cross platform that runs on PCs
was well as iPads.

I have a few technological hurdles ( besides being newbish at JavaScript );
maybe someone can point me in the right direction...

Firstly, it seems they are layering gif or png graphics in the main map
window, which incidentally has the ability to scroll with mouse
click-and-drag. I'm just wondering what kind of widget setup this is.. Is
it possible to re-use an image resource multiple times, blitting it down on
the screen?

Here's an example of what I'd like to do. I need to re-use a loaded
resource ( like grass.gif ) multiple times on the display at various offsets
while drawing the map window. I thought about creating a giant array of
image objects but I'm thinking that not ideal.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)
