Hi Varol, I develop a reference management software (http://www.bibliograph.org) with a UI that is inspired by the Thunderbird email client (see http://demo.bibliograph.org/build). It uses qooxdoo as a frontend and a PHP JSON-RPC backend. I have always tried to keep the backend as abstracted from the application as possible so that it can be reused for other purposes.
