Hi all, I have been investigating the JVM hanging that we have seen when running the unit tests on the M2 or M2.1 builds.
I should stress that these hangs are complete JVM hangs where the only option is to issue a kill -9. We have only seen this with 1.5 (up to and including 1.5.0_12). I raised a support call with Sun and from the analysis so far indicates it is this known issue: http://bugs.sun.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=6317397 This was fixed on 1.6 but for some reason never backported to 1.5. Sun are analysing the core files just now and I will update the list if this is confirmed as the issue. It appears that changes I committed at the weekend to fix a couple of issues have made the hanging much more frequent. Note that we have never seen the 1.6 JVM hang and have for the moment moved to using that for testing M2. RG
