JS Regexps have pretty much the same functionality that QRegExp currently has. So your argument that it's not good enough for Qt users doesn't hold IMO. There's at least one other piece I'd like to use from V8, the dtoa code. On many non desktop platforms the total size of Qt matters, so avoiding duplicated functionality in the stack is a good thing. It also gives consistent behavior.
