Heyyy Mark....that's great you found that writing from Gen Scott. I remember vaguely being taught about our history with Native Americans, but "mentioning" it, and explaining the extent of it are two different things. I don't remember the teaching of marching thousands of Navajos in the cold to a desolate place where thousands starved, and many many other instances like this. I learned through the documentary that the word "Seminole" means "runaway" ....many of the Seminoles were Natives and slaves running away from the whites to the swamps n rivers of Florida...our army pursued them constantly, pushing them deeper south into the Everglades eventually. The small victories the Natives had over the army only gave the gov more reason to kill them...
