I have a tdx5 with the gearless brushless motors. They are like an italian sports car; when they work, they work great. The fact is that the conventional motors have much more torque and a MUCH lower failure rate.

I'm trying to get my insurenceto buy a new chair. They've semi agreed, but don't want to buy the TDX5 only the TDX3. They won't buy the bigger and faster motors. They say they are not "Medicly" nessasary. I've said I need them to get up my ramp in my van, get accross large busy streets, etc. Can anyone think of medical reasons I could use to ask for the bigger/faster motors?
Thanks,
Greg
