I no longer use any cuffs. I can grasp but there still is a limit to the weight of objects that I can lift. It's just for grasping. You do need to be a canidate for the surgery. I'm a C6/7. I don't think they will do it at a lower level but I could be wrong. If you have 24/7 care, I suggest you do both arms at the same time. Can't think of any cons!
