i WOULD WANT TO MEET THE DOCTORS SUCCESSFUL TRANSFERS, AT LEAST ONE. Hand
surgery can get messed up. I haven't seen any new ones but one from 1980 just
turned to a clenched hand that was virtually useless.

Are there any pros or cons regarding tendon transfers? This is Mike, a 2 1/2 yr

Hi,
I had them done one yr after my accident. I couldn't pick up a piece of paper
before I had the surgery. I no longer use any cuffs. I can grasp but there
still is a limit to the weight of objects that I can lift. It's just for
grasping.
You do need to be a canidate for the surgery. I'm a C6/7. I don't think they
will do it at a lower level but I could be wrong. If you have 24/7 care, I
suggest you do both arms at the same time. Can't think of any cons!
