Section1 } I decided to go on a long drive today, to see how far I
could go.
They have a trail system though our city and neighboring cities they are just
fixing up. It used to be mostly a farming area in the desert, so it has lots of
canals. They paved a 10 foot wide path along 1 side for jogging, bikes, etc.
Dirt on the other side for horses. It starts by my house and I followed it for
14 miles through 2 cities. I could have gone further, but it crossed over
railroad tracks. I might have been ok in going over them, but it was in a quiet
location and I did not want to get stuck. There was about a 3 inch gap between
the edge and the rails… With a low drained battery, I did not want to risk it.
It’s a fun trail, the canal is maybe 20 feet wide and has lots of fish in it.
Many kinds, the grass carp are 3 feet long. The trail connects a bunch of town
parks, so I took my time and checked out the parks as I went through. Though
some of the trail is just threw commercial development areas. After I was done,
I didn’t want to risk the drive back, so I had
called home to get picked up. That’s the furthest I’ve ever driven, 15 miles
by the time I was finished. My chair has a mileage count on the LCD panel.
