Count me as a socialist also. And since when is France and Canada
Communistic? You may have fought in Nam but it's still a communist country
and one of our best trading partners. Doesn't it make you angry that our
country sent over 50,000 Americans there to die and now we are trading with
those commies? Talk about scrapping our Constitution.

Dan

At 03:47 PM 12/30/2007 -0600, Tim Thompson said something that elicited my
response:

Canada is socialist.
So is France.
Maybe you're living in the wrong country.
I didn't take the oath just to see commie politics scrap our constitution.

Tim, That is the good news. I will qualify for county aid this year as I
did last year, but thanks for the actual answer.

I won't argue with you about politics because it tends to make the list
difficult for those that need help, or a laugh. I am a socialist and I do
think those that benefit the most from our system should pay the most to
make were we live better for everyone, specially the poor.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR,

P.S. Maybe you can take your anti-society rant on the road and become the
new Rush Limpbowel. At least your not a drug addict.

Got news for you.

Life isn't fair or free.

This ISN'T a socialist nation.

It doesn't sound like your living in a cardboard box or starving.

In some other countries most of the population does.

Is life hard?

Hell yes, but a lot of people "today" have somehow got the idea that it's
somebodies responsibility to provide for them.

Guess what?

It's not.

I served our country during Nam, and since my accident almost 12 yrs ago,
the VA has taken good care of me (much better than 8 yrs ago). If I had
children, they too would be getting healthcare.

So I'll go along with your thought that every-able bodied citizen should
have to serve the community in some form for at least 2 yrs.

The rich already pay over 37% in income taxes (unless you're the klintons
who somehow mange to pay almost nothing on their

$ 40,000,000 (don't just take my word for it, check it out yourself)

The top 10% already pay 90% of the taxes.

However,

DRUG COMPANIES, HMO's, and many perscription drug plans are hosing us. I
have to pay that monthly "drug" fee even though I'm lucky to get my scripts
from the VA for nothing, so instead of complaining about that mo payment, I
figure it helps keep other peoples payments lower.

We lose over 20% of our Medicade dollars to illegal aliens

The Democrats pushed NAFTA through and gave China most favored trade status.

Guess where our manufacturing base went? Along with the jobs, the tax base
was loss.

The Liberals won't let States use Cons for hard labor, we sure could free up
a lot of tax dollars letting them build roads.

I've been an INDEPENDENT since 1976.

I've long held that lawyers being politicians was a monopoly and a conflict
of interest.

Ohio has PROBLEMS, been hearing about them for years now.

Medicaare and Medicaid varies from State to State.

I know IL gets better services than IN, but I can't see living there just
because of it. (and I'm ~ 12mi from the state line), can't stand their left
winged politics.

Being "poor" in the USA is better off than over 1/3rd of the worlds
population.

We're far better off than Americans during the great deression OR WWII.

BTW, you ought to check for utility assistence through your County trustee,
and shop around for a dif drug provider.

Tim,

When I say its a tax, I meant a hidden tax. You can't overtly tax the poor
without looking like a heartless boob. In fact, I did pay taxes before
B-b-b-bush. I never had to pay for so many drugs out of my pocket. That is a
hidden tax on the poor. I personally payed out over $2,000 on stuff that use
to be covered by Medicare or Medicaid oir Waiver, each of these so called
safty nets took me a long miserable battle that assured the world I was
virtually homeless. If you add up everything they stopped paying for and
"PLAN D FROM OUTER SPACE!", then I'm now receiving $2000 less than I got in
2004. And I'm told by my congressman it will be getting worse because they
intend to make further cuts in services. That is a %20 tax increase on the
poor. At least on this poor it is. Could you imagine the Shyt Fyt all those
poor millionaires would throw if they raised their ta! xes 20%.

I do appreciate the Sunday lunch at the church, but it isn't like I can
trade it for condom catheters.

Another little trick in Ohio...they want my next chair to be a Pride Jazzy.
I suggest you guys depending on Medicare for chairs begin taking real good
care of what you have. I'm getting all new wheels three new safety
controllers and the custom back they said I needed 4 1/2 years ago, and then
it is completely out of warranty.

So, I call what they do taxing the poor. I'm sure some of you feel the gov't
overtaxes you. I know I never liked it when I worked. They sure didn't spend
my taxes to fix up the neighborhood I live in.

Oh, I get it! You think I blame a party? I don't think there are 2 dozen
people in Washington DC that give a crap about what they do and haven't sold
out the American people. Reagan had Alzheimer's, Bush 1 believed Arabs loved
him, Slick Willy was, well, Slick Willy, and Bush2 will probably be
remembered as the first president to get the US into a religious war. I
think theres way too much proof that we don't neeeeeeed no steeeeeeenkkeeeng
president. Americans should do public service and take a test to earn the
right to vote, and lawyers should never be allowed into politics.

Tim, If you are doing better on this new system, I could sure use a few
tips. Every bill I have has gone up dramatically. The guy that owns the
building just raised the price of the washing machine to $2 a load. My
electric goes up to $115 next month. My TV dinners even went up. If you have
some income, hell, I'm happy for you. With Bush in office, people with lots
of money have done pretty well. I'm just pissed cause I'm poor and Bush
gives away more money to the worlds largest corporations than he spends on
health care and aid for poor. He has done more to help people refinance 1/2
million dollar homes in 3 months than hes done for children in "no child
left behind" in the last 6 years. If your a quad that wants to see things
improve for handicapped people, well, some of the people do get fooled all
the time.

Happy New Year,

john

You pay taxes?

Are you saying before President Bush you didn't pay taxes?

Hate to burst your bubble, but CONGRESS makes the budget and pass the tax
laws.

Believe it or not, President Bush wasn't the one in power when the DEMOCRATS
started taxing Social Security.

BTW, LBJ opened up Social Security money to pay for his entitlement
programs.

It was ALWAYS the Democrats who played with Social Security while playing
the fear card that Republicans "were" going to cut benefits.

Personaly, I'm better off now than when Slick Willie was playing games.

Merry frakkin Christmas!

I just found my anal statement from anal anthem and gosh I got reemed for
drugs last year. IV drugs are the ones that go directly into you through a

so just to add this to the what do you have list, I paid $791 and change on
medications last year. The longer I am on Med/Med the more I do pay. That
stuff use to be covered.

I only got $7.10 into the "initial coverage limit" I'll have to pay all of
any other drugs I need this year. It will be over $900.

Sure wish I could bitch about how bad my taxes are, pffffft! If it makes
your rich friend feel better, let him know that Bush & Co. do tax the poor
and when your as poor as me, it hurts a lot worse!
