My neighborhood is pretty set up for wheelchair access but in the almost 11
years of Quad life I have got stuck a few times. (1) got to close to edge of
sidewalk 2 wheels sunk deep in mulch--a police officer finally saw me and
helped pull me out. (2) After a big storm I sunk into loose gravel in the
middle of railroad tracks--I screamed until a man far away heard me and got
binoculars to see me stuck in tracks and jumped in a truck to pull me out about
30 minutes before the train came thu Whew!. (3) went fishing with my brother
across a friends farm fields. A gentle rain came and I told my brother we
better leave but he said you won't get stuck it's ok......well with my brother
and another helping push and pull, we almost never got out of that muddy farm
field ! I was praying too ! because it was remote area and turned all muddy.
(4) fell of into a deep chug hole with one front tire while going to a corner
store in 97 degree heat ! was helpless and frying until to
sweet young women driving by saw my and teamed up to pull me up and out.----
They were sweet and good looking too! to bad i'm married LOL ! Number (5)
and final was when I went upstairs on my very steep ramp for a christmas
celebration with my family a few years ago and all was fine,,, BUT during the 6
hours or so a freezing rain came and completely covered my ramp --- It was now
dark and we were not aware--when I hit that ramp even with my brakes on and a
daughter hanging on for dear life---it slung us down and from side to side
hitting side rails of the ramp and then we slid half across the yard towards a
drop of and creek with woods. Talk about a rush !! we were both worked up and
shakey buy unhurt.
That about covers my 5 worst ones. Dan H.

Anyone ever accidentally drive their chair into a pool or
ditch, or fall out of your chair?
Ive tipped sidewise or fallen forward and couldnt sit back up, but have
always stayed in the chair.
But I have bumped my control joystick and scared myself being close to a
pools edge.
