Hi Greg,
It does seem that night can go on forever , and I always feel that I am not
as in control of my situation as I might be during the day.
Years ago when I couldn't turn my mind off. I started
something that works for me. I probably look strange to others that might
not understand.
I put on my bipap full face mask, then I put on my eye mask * it also has
the calming sounds*, that I got from Brookstone. And then A pair of earphone
so I can listen to music all night long. I listen to a radio station that
plays 70 and 80's and I can smile to myself and I can think of remember when.
My earphones belonged to my son the DJ so they are large like we had in the
70 and 80's,,LOL. I think I look like a fighter pilot. I push the mask and
earphones forward to block out the light that might wake me. I even take all
of this when I go to the hospital. You should see their reaction when the
alarm goes off and my breathing has dropped.
I never lay down flat and it seems to help to sit more up than down.
I hope you find something that works for you,
Kathy
