I've had a 16 French supra-pubic cath for over 10 years or about. Probably lots longer, but I have no memory for things like that.
I've had it kinked and I've had to change it just because it was irritating me somehow. But I don't recall it ever getting blocked up from grit or mucus. I'm sure you hear it often, but you got to drink lots. I must learn to drink more, especially in the Phoenix area where it's around 114 today. My pee can get real dark if I don't drink. Greg _____ I hope someone can help me, I have a supra-pubic catheter and it keeps plugging up. Mainly it seems to be mucus, but sometimes it gritty stuff. I've heard of pills to acidify the urine and flushing with things like Renacedin (sp?). What works best for you guys? Please help
