I have used a Sunbeam "electric throw" which is about half the size of an electric blanket. When I get into bed I get very cold and use the electric throw from my waist up. I put it on medium and after I am nice and toasty warm, I usually fall asleep. In a little while I wake up and toss the throw on the floor. Earlier versions had an off on switch, newer versions as a pushbutton. Toasty in Pennsylvania,
