The Darci USB can do morse code with a single switch, but it sells for $299.95 plus $15.00 for shipping and handling. http://www.westest.com/darci/index.html

I prefer the TandemMaster-Morse-2-USB Interface which uses 2 switches. It cost $450.

If those hardware interfaces are too costly, you might be able get something to work using AutoHotkey http://www.autohotkey.com/
You might be able to adapt one of the existing scripts, such as Half-QWERTY: One-handed Typing

to work for him.

I am a quadriplegic who has used Morse code input by sip and puff for 20 yrs.

Please let us know what solution you come up with.

We've fashioned a simple switch connected to a buzzer for a quadriplegic.  He can do Morse code with it. Now I'm looking for the program (or equivalent) that I had when I was learning Morsec code eons ago.  I could depress the space bar a few seconds or 1 second and the program would echo back in letters the Morse characters I had "keyed".  Does anybody know of a progam that does that?  Any ideas would be really appreciated..

Thanks a lot.

P.S.  Money IS an issue.
