* Can i send text messages from my computer?
* If you have apple you can. You have to go on apple.com and download
SMS TEXT. Then it will be in your dashboard and you will recieve the
messages through your email

*       Good luck Joan

It's free. You get your own phone number. People can sms my number and I
receive an email. I can send a sms to any cell phone without needing to know
the service. I can even receive voice mail. It has been great for me.

I don't remember seeing any posts about texting from your personal computer
to cell phones. Everyone in my family uses texts, except me of course, but
I do enjoy texting them from my PC. I use txtdrop.com <http://txtdrop.com/>
and it has a gadget on the desktop. Works like a charm, and as long as I
can get to my computer I can communicate with them regarding shopping lists
etc.. I receive their texts back to my e-mail, and usually very quickly.
Just a thought.
