Rear entry lifts can present some problems as government standards for parking did not consider rear end for private passenger use in parking lots or city streets. So if you are parking in a multilevel parking garage, a lift could be exposed to moving traffic and those risks. Its a consideration. Best Wishes In a message dated 9/16/2011 1:17:45 P.M. Just keep in mind that with ramp on the side, people park next to you and block you where you can't get in or out, unless you park far away or where the lift has a good clear area by it. Our van we have now has a rear entry and we are never blocked in. I'm getting a new wheelchair van and I'm not sure if i need the ramp coming out on the side or in the back. Does anyone know from what they had which is better? I live wheres theres alot of snow so that might be considered. Thanks. Johnny
