You are correct W, there is a representative you can contact. My mother was in constant communication with them about my g-ma. What it finally came down to was they told my mother if shes not happy with the care to take her out. Another thing that they did was put my g-ma in a locked down hallway where noone saw anything and you had to enter a code to get in or out. My mother went there three times a day unannounced to give her sips of water. In the end it wasnt enough, Im glad her suffering is over but it was a slow way to go. Ron

Dumb me... but don't nursing homes have Omnibus Representative one can call to report abuses. When I see a crime, I call the police. When I see a fire... I call the fire department. If I was in a nursing home and I heard someone yelling for water and not getting attention, I'd call someone and give a room number just that fast. She had many kids and grandkids so got good care. (but it is awful to want water and they can't at least fit that in ) Dan H* > > > >________________________________ >From: Gmail <[email protected]> >To: RONALD L PRACHT <[email protected]> >Cc: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> >Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2013 1:04 PM >Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Its Not About The Number Of Years... > > > >Ron & all quads, > I went to visit a quad friend in a nursing home.
