Was his consent to die his real intent? Was he cogent enough to form a rational thought? How many drugs were in his system at the time he was asked? Having lived a productive life as a paralyzed quadriplegic for the last 24 years I certainly can understand the emotional legitimacy of the actions, and what his loved ones went through to make such a final decision. However, there will always be the question of "did I do the right thing?" I implore everyone to have a Living Will. With one all of the above is removed from the equation. RIP Tim.

Tim, 32, fell 16' out of a tree crushing C-3,4,5 while hunting in Decatur, Indiana Sat. Nov.2nd Then on Sun. Nov.3rd his Family and doctors asked him if he wanted to be taken off the ventilator and die. He said yes and with in six hours he died. He had just gotten married August 3, 2013 and was expecting a baby. He had told his wife that "... I never want to have my life in a wheelchair." What I can't be leave is how quickly the decision was made and carried out, 24 hours after his accident they pulled the plug on the ventilator. If anybody wants me to send them the article I read, just email me and I will send to you. I tried to send it to the Quad list but it wasn't expected. Bobbie
