How in the world do you sleep on your stomach? Do you simply turn your head
sideways? I would either smother or break my neck (again).

I've been doing my BP in bed for over 40 years. Since I sleep on my
stomach, it's relatively easy for me. Every night we put a chux under me
and one between my legs to catch "the results". Before I put my blankets
on, my aide inserts a dulcolax suppository.
That means that I have all night to fully empty and 99.9% of the time there
is no suppository residue.

I started doing this within a few years of my injury. I felt I had better
things to do during the day, so why not try it while sleeping.

I really wish I could get my bowel program down to an hour and a half like
it was when I was a new injury. Unfortunately I am now stuck with three
hour to four hour bowel care every other night. Most of the fecal matter is
evacuated in about two hours, but we often spend another hour and a half to
two hours waiting on the mucus to come down.

It's a significant amount of mucus and if I tried to wait until the next
morning to check for it, it creates a pretty bad mess. Not to mention the
fact that it is terribly uncomfortable for me.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Oh yeah, I do my bowel regimen in bed because of my high level of injury
does not allow me to sit comfortably in a shower chair in order to do the
procedure.

There are several new procedures for hemorrhoids. I would check with your

Any words of wisdom? Bowel program every other day...1.5 hours between bp
and shower using the magic bullet. Not constipated. Discomfort and obvious
hemorrhoids becoming a concern.
