I'm so sorry your going thru this. I hope your wife gets well. My ex takes care of me too & his health is failing. You NEED a back-up caregiver some how. She needs you so don't do anything selfish.

He was in the hospital and I was home alone. Im able to get in and out of bed and make basic microwave meals and sandwiches, so I can survive short of a large bowell accident or falling out of the chair. It made me think ..........what the hell am I going to do in the future? I came to the conclusion if I try everyday and accomplish a little bit, by the time that day comes I can be a whole lot more prepared to do or hire all the things Im going to need. All we really have in life is the here and now, the past is gone and the future isn't guaranteed. The winners in life are the ones that can enjoy the minute they are in.
