My heart and prayers are with each of you that are struggling with things that we cannot avoid or correct. So many of us have so many things to deal with just to make it through the day that the additional "straw on the camel's back" is almost more than we can bear.
Watching our loved ones continue to take care of us day after day, while trying to have a life of their own, is such an emotional drain that we sometimes want it to just go away. Each of us have our own private hell and we deal with it the best we can. I try to remember that I am here for a purpose, and I don't know what purpose, but just try to wheel on and do what I can for those around me and perhaps someday I'll find out why this happened to me. It's always hard to laugh when inside I am crying, but I do try. I have said from day one that when there is a cure for spinal cord injury I want to be in the best health that I can possibly be so that I can be in the front of the line saying "me, me, please pick me" but realistically at my age it isn't going to happen. I try very hard to keep myself healthy, work on word games, math games, just to keep my mind active. I can't do a thing about losing my hearing but I just have to laugh because everybody keeps reminding me that what did you say? It is cropping up more and more often! J God bless each and every one of you, no matter what god you follow. Thanks to Jim Lubin for starting this chatline, you are all the best of the best. Joan C4 complete 1990
