Yup Jim! However, some of those lawyers commands requires to download another app to your phone and that can get annoying.
Today I just thought of something I had not thought of before and that is can I use my Amazon Echo to call 911 or SOS or to call for help. This can be most especially helpful if you are a quad who lives with only one person like your spouse or mother. If you cannot use your hands/arms to be able to push buttons on your phone or whatnot - just using your voice to say "Alexa call 911." The morning my husband went to his office and did not come back I knew right away that something was wrong but I had not yet but my Bluetooth on my phone and my caregiver had not arrived yet. We were expecting her but she was not there when the event - cardiac arrest - happened. In hindsight and with the diagnosis even if I had Amazon back then they would not have been able to get to him in time because a cardiac arrest is different from a heart attack. You practically die right away. This actually just happen to my brother-in-law as well and my sister was right there with them and knew CPR but [and gave him CPR after calling 911] he was unrevivable. Therefore the paramedics were unable to save him either. The following video is the only video so far to tell you how to download the app to set up a word that you want Alexa to recognize and to fill in that particular number: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNPpicpZXw4 ~Lori On Thu, Apr 28, 2016 at 12:39 PM, Jim Lubin <[email protected]> wrote: > > http://removeandreplace.com/2015/09/03/amazon-echo-alexa-simple-voice-commands-list/ > > On Wed, Apr 27, 2016 at 11:43 AM, Lori Michaelson <[email protected]> > wrote: > >> Since I do not own my own home I thoroughly enjoy my Amazon echo for >> music, weather, information and I do have the hub to turn my bedroom lamp >> on and off but I'm not using it right now. >> >> Please let me/us know what you think! >> >> Thank you! >> >> 81° and sunny here today >> >> ~Lori >> >> On Tue, Apr 26, 2016 at 7:48 PM, Joan Anglin <[email protected]> >> wrote: >> >>> Just got notified that my echo will be here on Thursday.
