Removing batteries is not that difficult. Having power seating can complicate the process but its just another necessary. Thank You. Best Wishes In a message dated 6/25/2016 6:19:21 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes:
Wheelchair can you just come to Oklahoma? J I bought new batteries a couple of months ago and my brother put them in. When he checked the connections a few weeks ago the individual battery boxes were really hard to get back in. He thought maybe contact grease would help but I didn’t have any and I’ m not sure where he thought needed it. I replaced the joystick last summer. It’s not giving me any error codes…….that’s why I think loose connection somewhere…….and throw in that it happens at an incline which leads me to believe the battery boxes aren’t connecting to one another. Sigh. Missing a dear friend’s daughter’s wedding tonight and have another one Friday. Plus a grandbaby who could be born soon. NOTHING is a priority to my DME supplier…….they said they couldn’t come out and check it until my cushion came in (they received the order from PT on April 22 and just ordered the cushion at the end of May) I’ve called every week, been lied to more than once but as soon as I called yesterday and told them I won’t be using them to order my new chair my cushion was in fact there and they made the appointment for next Friday. Thanks for your input and all you give to this list. Still praying for you and your family,. I'd start with the batteries. I'd loosen the nuts and washer and look for decay and corrosion. Then re-tighten. I'd also use a multi-meter on the plug in of the joystick and measure any voltage drop. Could be a loose or bad connection into the control module. But you have to trace and verify the integrity of each wire. Its time consumer, but productive. Over the past several weeks my chair is doing the following: sometimes when I lock in my EZ Lock the green line that says Driving will turn yellow and say “Low Battery” and won’t go until I turn it off/on then it will go……I have new batteries that are fully charged. The screen also appears to go dim and bright. It also will do it sometimes going over door thresholds after this happened a few times it quit while backing up the ramp into my van. Got same message several times so I finally turned around and went forward (that didn’t work though today, wouldn’t go forward or backward) It also will just quit moving and say Stopping on the green line and says Release JS – I’ll lose a bar or 2 bars then had full battery when I turned chair off/on A few times the screen turns red when hitting a bump and says batteries have no charge – chair won’t move, turn off/on and it goes, batteries show fully charged Now it has started occasionally only going a few inches, especially on any incline, some days it does fine. I had my brother check battery connections and he said they were tight, checked bolt on my chair for EZ Lock and it’s not loose, released motor locks and pulled them back up. Even unplugged wires going into motors and plugged them back in Any suggestions what else to check? I think it has to have something to do w/ battery connections somewhere but they can’t come until Friday to check it (been waiting for 3 weeks) Hoping one of you has had the same experience J My dearest friends daughter’s wedding is tonight and I can’t go because my chair is messing up Nicki
