Nikki, I have that very same chair and joystick.Five days ago it decided to do something similiar. When I turn it off, the screen freezes in the gear I was in. It won't turn off or go back in gear. I have to disengage the batteries and shove them in with some force to make it come back on. I too, am baffled.
