I have to say that, although good on my 104MB Quadra 840av, OS 8.1 is a 
tad slow for my taste. I'm going back to 7.6.1 when the drive moves over 
to my PPC as I won't need HFS+ anymore. I'm repeating myself I know but 
I am still under the impression that 7.6.1 is optimum for 040s, unless, 
as vincenzo says, they have less that 10MB or so of RAM.
